From first consultation to recovery
Your surgeon examines you, looks at your reports, and explains whether an operation is the right choice, what it involves and how long recovery takes. If you decide to go ahead, the team tells you how to prepare.

When to book
- A hernia, or a lump or swelling that needs a surgeon’s opinion
- Gallstones, or pain in the upper abdomen after meals
- Piles, fissures or fistulas
- Abscesses, cysts, wounds and skin infections
- A second opinion on whether you need an operation
What we can help with
- Surgical consultations
- Operations in the hospital’s operation theatre
- Care on the ward and follow-up after surgery
Before your visit
Bring previous scans, blood reports and prescriptions. If you take blood thinners or diabetes medicines, tell the surgeon, as they may need adjusting before an operation.
